2020 CROP LIST

2020 has brought many unknowns for us personally and for our community at large. We are so humbled and excited by the huge amount of interest in local food that we’ve received this season. Our local agriculture is a huge part of what makes Whatcom County truly special, and we are proud to be a part of it. Due to this pandemic, we don’t know what life will look like a month from now, or later this season. We are also expecting our first child in October (hooray!) and want to look out for our own health as well as that of our customers. Local food availability is SO important. We are still growing lots and lots of food, but with a bit simpler crop list and perhaps fewer harvests (but bigger ones!) than normally go with our CSA schedule. With this model we hope to be able to continue to provide food for our wonderful customers and community as well as the Ferndale Food Bank no matter what else this season throws at us.

So here’s the plan for 2020: Whenever we have any crops to harvest (likely starting in late June or early July) we will send out an email to our mailing list letting folks know what we have, pricing, how to order, and how to pick up. At any given time we may have one item available or we may have 10. Emails will go out weekly at the most. As the season goes on we will have more variety and more abundance! You will be able to order as much or as little as you like – so, if you’re into canning and food preservation feel free to stock up! Items in limited quantity may be rationed so that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the harvest. We plan on harvesting roughly July through early October, with the bulk of harvest happening in the fall.
